It may seem counterintuitive for a sports betting newsletter to lead with a game you shouldn't bet on.
But Matt Youmans makes a compelling case for staying on the sidelines for Ole Miss–Texas (7:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
“The most intriguing game on Saturday's betting board is Mississippi-Texas, and my thoughts about it are all over the board. If you have watched these teams all season, you should like the Rebels +3.5. If you have been betting games for several years and know how this nonsense usually works, your instincts are pulling you to the Texas side of the argument.”
Matt is 26-11-5 in his Best Bets columns this season. To put together that kind of record, I suppose you also need to know when to pass.
Late Friday, Texas moved from -3.5 to -3 at Circa. I asked Matt if that changed his opinion.

Kenny White went a different direction, selecting Over 56.5.

The Latest From the Circa Sportsbook
The Rams opened as 6-point favorites over the Raiders. By Friday afternoon, that number had been cut in half.
That's one of several significant NFL line moves Circa owner Derek Stevens discussed with Matt Youmans on Friday's Circa Friday Football Invitational.
Derek reported heavy Raiders money Friday, pushing the Rams from -4 to -3.5 and eventually -3. Injuries to key Rams players also contributed to the movement.
A few other developments from the Circa sportsbook:
- Packers at Lions: Detroit moved from -3 to -3.5 following Green Bay's injury reports.
- Chiefs at Seahawks: Seattle moved from -2.5 to -3, with heavy Over action pushing the total to 48.5.
- Bengals at Ravens: Baltimore opened -3, but the favorite flipped during the week before the line settled at pick'em.
- 49ers at Falcons: San Francisco opened -4, dropped to -2.5, then attracted some Friday money.
And what about Circa Survivor? Derek sees a scenario in which the Jets could be a surprisingly popular selection against Miami. But would he trust New York with a $25 million contest entry still alive?

⚾ Brewers Fans Take Over Circa
As you might expect from fans of a team that hadn't reached the World Series since 1982, Brewers fans were out in force at the Circa Sportsbook on Friday night.
And they had plenty to celebrate as Milwaukee beat Tampa Bay 3-2 in Game 1.
Game 2 is Saturday night (8 p.m. ET), with Milwaukee's Logan Henderson facing Tampa Bay's Drew Rasmussen.
The Brewers are -122 favorites on the moneyline, with the Rays at +110.
