Now, I know it's one year, and I know some people will be like, "Five?" Yeah. Like, I could not be more impressed. Again, well, why Carolina didn't pick him number one, I'll never know.

Um, if you ever hear him talk about, uh, being a quarterback in the NFL and what he sees on a football field, you'll be even more impressed. Um, C.J. Stroud is my number five quarterback.

And then I have Matthew Stafford at number six under the, the sort of explanation of still to this day if I had to win one game, Matthew Stafford still gets on my list. So that, that's where this was a little tough.

Gil and I were texting back and forth about it. That's where y- we, we, we can defend everything with, with, with- Yes... with an explanation. Um, we do have the same top six, uh, i- in different orders.

See, some people will be surprised by that. I think so too. Some people will be surprised that we will have both had Stroud and Stafford.

I, I just can't, I can't stomach Josh Allen being number four. He's that good to me. Ah, you love Josh Allen. I love Josh Allen, yep. Yeah. Okay, well he's four. I don't have him at 24. I've got him at four.

But isn't, I think people would be surprised by that. I've got a bigger issue with that than C.J. Stroud even being in here. [laughs] I was about to say. Really, you have a problem with me having him at four? Really?

I've got, now you know I'm not a big Lions guy, but at this point I have to put Jared Goff at number seven because he has gotten to the Super Bowl with one team and on the cusp of a Super Bowl with a second.

And so Jared Goff deserves the respect for me to be number seven at this point. Uh, I have Justin Herbert at eight, and here's my thing with Justin Herbert.

He's got all the tools, and so he still makes the top 10 for me. But he's one year away from falling out of the top 10. Oh, thank you. I'm glad you said this. Because there are too many examples.

Now some people will say, well, he got them in this position, and I can see that in some cases. But there are too many examples of him gacking final drives, and he had players around him.

So Justin Herbert is eight, teetering here. He, he, and he had players around him. Yes. I, I, I was just, I'm glad you brought this up.

At what point are we gonna start talking about Justin Herbert like, um, "Hey, everybody's loved you and given you a lot- Yeah...

of excuses it feels like over your first few years," and now all his weapons are gone that he's had. I believe I just answered that. But like- He's got one more year... they're gonna be rebuilding. Yes.

Like, are we about to get a lot of Justin Herbert hate coming down over the next year or two? Oh, we might, we might very well. I think it might be deserved too. Uh, I got Brock Purdy at number nine.

Now Brock Purdy is the quintessential he's very good at football surrounded by great players everywhere guy, but you have to concede he made all the right decisions last year.

It is one year of sample size, like with C.J. Stroud, but Brock Purdy checks in at number nine for me. So I, I will defend all of those. Now I know there's a lot of omissions.

People are like, "How can you not have this person in? How can you not have that person in?" Let's, let's reveal my number 10, 'cause 10 was really hard for me.

And I ultimately decided to go with, I hate this, Jalen Hurts. Again, for just the fact that dude wins. And I know it was a terrible stretch at the end of last year. Um, but dude has gotten to the Super Bowl.

They win in Philly. Um, Jalen Hurts... deserves that much respect that he makes my top 10.

Now omitted from my top 10, of course, are the likes of a Tua and a Kirk Cousins, uh, those kinds of players who were right outside the top 10, but I could not make the case for them.

Again, just the difference between being top 10 or 12 or 13. Right. Yeah, yeah. So let's not go crazy. But I still couldn't make as good of a case for them.

Like a guy like Kirk Cousins, sure, you might love him, but he's had nothing but talent around him for his entire career- Mm-hmm... and he's won one playoff game. So maybe yes, maybe C.J.

Stroud and Brock Purdy get the benefit of the doubt from me with a small sample size. Maybe they, they get propped up because- Mm-hmm... it's a small sample size. Time will tell.

But I've seen enough of Kirk Cousins where he doesn't crack my top 10. Hey, guess what? This is just, like, you know, your opinion, man. So yeah. [laughs] Just my opinion. Just my opinion.

It's been four years now where the guy's had one season with double digit wins, and he had a lot of weapons that just walked out the door. So I don't really know what to expect from him over the next two years.

Now to two quarterbacks that did not make your list. Dak Prescott comes in at number eight for me. Dak Prescott, I think if you went back and look at what he's done season after season, still putting up the numbers.
