NC State is a side that a lot of people have bet, and clearly it's because of the, the injury report with a bunch of players on the Virginia being either out or questionable.

Uh, Camp Robinson, their potential all ACC linebacker was hurt at the end of last year, his ACL. They, they don't know if they're gonna play him or not. Uh, wide receiver transfer from UCLA is out.

I mean, yes, NC State has C.J. Bailey, uh- And they lost a ton in other. They brought in JoJo Trader from Miami, a wide receiver, a former four-star guy.

I mean, uh, just being close to the situation, if JoJo Trader was reliable, he would still be at Miami. So I wouldn't think him going to NC State is this massive thing, but who knows?

I am a very s- solid under eight and a half, uh, on Alabama. I think there's a lot of denial- Wow... uh, in the SEC about the t- you tell, "We're gonna be 10 and two.

We're gonna go," like, I think a majority of the SEC's gonna be right in that eight and four, nine and three type mold, and I think Alabama's o- on the wrong side of that.

They very easily could have been eight and four, uh, last year. The running game has been non-existent the last couple of years under Kalen DeBoer and, and, and Grub.

Uh, they say it's fixed, but we, I gotta see it to believe it. It's a team that got blown out by that bad Florida State team last year. Um, they g- get the, uh, the Seminoles at home this year.

Keilan Russell has a lot of potential, but he's unproven. So, so we'll see. I mean, that lasting impression of Alabama basically quitting in the Rose Bowl after getting manhandled by Indiana lasts with me.

On paper, it looks like maybe they could start five and O, but who's to say they,

they, they go to, they beat South Carolina, or they beat Florida State, or they go to Mississippi State and m- maybe struggle a little bit against Jeff Lebby's team there and a really good quarterback, uh, in, in, in Kamario.

Uh, the schedule is not easy at all, so I am a very, very, very strong confident of under eight and a half at plus money. Under eight and a half on the Crimson Tide.

Okay, a couple missed playoff bets on a couple powerhouses. Missed playoffs on- Yeah... Texas. Let's start there.

Last year at this time, I was the idiot that said that the safest bet in college football all year is Penn State to make the playoff, and they fired their coach by mid-October. LSU w- w- was a, a dumpster fire.

Uh, Clemson m- m- missed w- with ease. So taking a shot at a plus price on a team like Texas, like nine and three seems to be a very logical- Yeah... reasonable expectation. Yes, it does.

And how you handle the nine and three and who they beat and how they look will, will come into play. How... Like, they might have to play, uh, Ohio State without Goolsby, their best offensive lineman. That's a problem.

Uh, you gotta go to A&M. You gotta go to LSU. Missouri. You got Ole Miss at home. Like, there are a lot of losable games there.

And, uh, if the reports are true about Arch may be struggling, uh, this could be a team that you wanna fade.

But that, that Ohio State game, uh, the loser of that game, well, we'll see how the committee treats them later in the year.

And by the way, you bet the plus money right now on them to miss, they lose a couple of games early, you can get some plus money on the yes to make it.

Texas to miss the college football playoff, and I completely agree, the nine and three SEC quandary at the end of the year for the committee is gonna be one of the big stories in college football this year.

Also, defending champion Indiana Hoosiers to miss the college football playoff. [laughs] Yeah, a- a- and I think this is just kind of a, a logic play for me. Do, do I think they're gonna miss? Likely not.

But everything went right for Indiana last year. From every play that they needed to go their way, every high-leverage play went their way. Look at the national championship game as, as an example.

Every high-leverage play on third or fourth down, the special teams went Indiana's way. Fernando Mendoza didn't turn the ball over. Is that gonna happen again with Josh Hoover? I don't know. Maybe they lose at Michigan.

Maybe they lose to Ohio State. Maybe they go to Washington and lose. Like, uh, there's a, there's a good plus money price to be had there.

Uh, it'll be interesting for Indiana, 'cause remember, y- y- they came in w- with all the Sigs guys from JMU for two years, built it up, and now there's an expectation there and those guys are gone.

And then also under passing yards on Latrell Sellers, who, what, is interning at a, at a, at a putt-putt golf course? What are we... Or at a golf range? Uh- Driving range... yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a g- good- Yeah...

good, good fall class for, for, uh- Mm-hmm... for Latrell Sellers. But yeah, I'm under on both. Mateer would've gone over last year even with the injury, but you add a ninth SEC game.

You lose, uh, Illinois State off of the, the schedule. You lose Temple. Uh, much tougher schedule.

I think they're gonna run a lot more 'cause that offensive line was so bad last year and, and maybe running the ball keeps Mateer a little bit healthy. And then so I'm gonna go under there.

And then I'm gonna go under with Sellers. I know you bring in a new offensive coordinator, and you would think that that's ultimately gonna create a, a, a more of a passing total.

But remember two years ago when Sellers was so dynamic, it was his legs. So I think you're gonna see a lot more, uh, run pass, r- run out, running from, uh, Sellers with, uh, with Burroughs as offensive coordinator.

We, we, we had some nine and a halfs. We, uh, the last double digit at, at 10 was, uh, I believe it was the Eagles in 2019, maybe against Washington, um, was the last one. So yeah, it hasn't happened.

The last double digit to lose, you might remember this game, Drew Brees, the Saints played the Bucs, and Jameis Winston was out and Ryan Fitzpatrick came in, and the line steamed up. Oh, yeah.

And it turned into a massive shootout- Mm-hmm... and the Bucs knocked out like 30, 35% of survivor pools in week one that year. Yeah, I remember it well. Yeah. All right.

I, I mean, there's some spots. I mean, they're, they're a playoff contender. They could pop up, and, and if you s- do save them, you might have some good value spots later.

But they, they aren't, they don't play on the holiday slates, so I don't think people will be feeling pressure to save them for that reason.

Whereas, say, Detroit, who is sitting there as a seven, seven-point favorite in week one, does. And so that might push Detroit's ownership down in week one on Circa.

Uh, Jacksonville's the s- next, the only other one over seven. They're at seven and a half against Cleveland with the fighting Deshaun Watsons. [laughs] Mm-hmm.

And so really, unless you're gonna take one of those three teams, whether it's this contest or any other, you're dropping down to like a four, a three and a half, and how many people are gonna be willing to do that?

I think some will, obviously. We know some will, but- I mentioned this the, uh, last week or whenever it was that I did a survivor thing, which, and again, this is not gonna work out every week. Right.

So a lot of people piled on them, and I think they were like 35%-plus in, in Circa and in a lot of survivor pools. Well, week 10, you might've needed them. That was a wipe-out week with Carolina.
