Uh, the next year's quarterback draft is looking to be extremely deep if you get a, um, an Arch, a CJ Carr, a Dante Moore, Julian Saylor. I mean, Darian Mensah.

Like, if you're the Raiders and you take Mendoza this year, which they're going to do, and you put him in that r- in that roster, like, you're really setting him up to fail initially, and hopefully he can overcome that.

But, uh, if you, if there's a team out there that loves Mendoza and they wanna move up and wow, uh, the Raiders with an offer and they, and they can acquire assets and, uh, you, you could take someone else, and then maybe in top of the second round, uh, you take a chance on a, on another quarterback, and if that fails, so what?

It's only a second round pick. But we saw the Raiders with a novelty pick last year at six with Ashton Jeanty and, uh, that did not go well.

They had the, I think the high- uh, I saw Warren Sharp just tweet out, the highest stuff rate in the league between their running backs and their offensive line, really should've taken an offensive lineman there.

So I think the Raiders really need to build their roster, but look, they're gonna take, they're gonna take Mendoza. Uh, hopefully long-term it will work, work out for them.

Uh, the, the drama or the question's going to be at two. Uh, I, I think the one person you can eliminate for the Jets is Maiaga, the, the offensive tackle from Miami.

I do think if you look at the Jets' needs on defense with everybody they gave away, I think Arvale Reese probably fits the best, uh, given the, the linebackers that the Jets have and Reese's ability to kinda move around all over.

That would be the pick i- if I were making the pick for the Jets, but certainly, uh, I don't think you could go wrong if you went Bain or if you went Bailey.

But, but, but I think if you look at the tea lea- tea leaves, and I think the, the prices, uh, that are out there on that number two overall pick, uh, I do think that, uh, that Reese probably would be the front runner there.

You, you talk to the coaches at Ohio State, unbelievable locker room guy, unbelievable presence, unbelievable leader, uh, team guy. He is gonna go somewhere, I think, and win a lot of people over.

I, I don't think, I don't hope that the label of him being a safety kinda drags him down a little bit, 'cause I think he's a fantastic football player.

I, I, I do think in terms of the draft betting, uh, the, the number two quarterback obviously will probably be Ty Simpson.

I'm curious to see what type of over under no, uh, total they put on him, 'cause I, I, I could see him going a lot higher in the draft, kinda like Michael Penix Jr. did a couple of years ago. Wow.

Uh, may- maybe not top 10, but I, I could see him, Simpson, going, uh, potentially top 15.

He had to have had some type of promise somewhere along the, along the way here to, uh, turn down the NIL money that a couple of these schools in, in college football were offering him to stay.

So I would expect, uh, Simpson to go a little bit higher than probably people mi- I think a lot of people are saying maybe he could go to the Jets with the Jets' second first round pick.

I know the Jets obviously have a big need at quarterback and the Jets own the mo- the second most valuable pick in the draft, uh, uh, the, the first pick of the second round.
