[upbeat music] The numbers tell the story, they always do. One of those idiots who believe in analytics. This is the Numbers Game with Gil Alexander on VSiN.
0:08
[upbeat music] Hour number two of a Numbers Game at VSiN, the sports betting network, vsin.com, GamePlus, iHeartRadio, YouTube TV, all proudly brought to you by DraftKings and ZYN nicotine pouches.
0:20
This hour it's Gil Alexander, it's Kelly Biblin from Bar Canada at the D. By the way, uh, Kelly, you're completely right about the series prices, it would refund. I, apparently in my head, had exactas in my head.
0:30
That's why I'm getting all- Right, yes... discombobulated, right? Yeah, that's what you were thinking. We talked a lot of exactas, okay?
0:35
That's what happens when you're looking at draws for the French Open in between segments. Like, what? What are we doing? We've also talked a lot of exactas- Yes... and not at all on look ahead lines. [laughs] Yes.
0:44
Um, so I completely got confused. My culpa on that. Ladies and gentlemen, it is, uh, 11:00 AM Eastern, 8:00 AM Pacific, on Thursdays. You know what that means. Unscripted with the Crack Man, Bill Krackomberger.
0:53
[upbeat music] Let's go. Billy. Hello, guys. What's happening? I don't think I've been here, I feel like I haven't been here in a month. It feels that way. It does.
1:11
Oh, well, you were off. I was off. One- Were you off one week?
1:13
One week And I was, and I last week had a, the night before the show, [laughs] I s- I said I was coming on the next day, but had an opportunity to jump on a plane the next day, next morning, and I only had...
1:24
The, the flights, I only had so many choices, and I was like, "Ah, damn, I just promised Gil I was coming on."
1:30
And, uh, I think I text you, like, did I text you in the morning or hopefully, hopefully it was the night before. Yeah, yeah. No, it was- I think it was the night before It was? It was, it was...
1:35
No, we, we had a solid 24 hours. Oh, we did? Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. It was the day before. Yeah, no, it was the day before. I was like- Yeah... I, I, I talked to you two days before.
1:42
But- This is when the NFL schedule came out, right? Yes. And I had to go down to Florida to make sports bets, 'cause of course, the- [laughs]...
1:48
you know, I have to leave Las Vegas, which is a, a sports betting capital of the world. Yes. [laughs] But I mean, um, you know, it's supposed to be. Yes.
1:55
Uh, the reason why I went to Florida, because I was there at Tampa a few weeks earlier, and they had, they were the, they really had, they had the season wins, over/under season wins up before almost anybody. And, um,
2:09
not only did they have them, they were taking giant bets. I was fooling around, like, not fooling around, I was just almost testing to see how much money they, they take. And, and- What, what did we learn?
2:19
I learned they, they, they took it. I learned, what did I learn? How much. I didn't, I didn't bring enough money. Wow. No, I definitely did. I, I had, like, 25 grand, and it went on the first three bets. Yeah. Wow.
2:28
So I said, "I gotta go back there eventually." And when I seen other markets coming up, I said, "You know what? Let me get back there." And, uh, I, you know, you could look at their lines here, which is unbelievable.
2:38
Like, it's great. You can look at the lines, uh, in Las Vegas. And I just got on a plane and went down to Hard Rock in, uh, in Hollywood this time. And let me tell you, you know, I'm tough on casinos a lot.
2:49
I, I, I expect more out of them than, than, than most, and to try to help the, the customer and the, you know, Joe Public. I was really impressed with that property.
2:58
I haven't been there in a couple years since the Guitar Tower was built. They put billions of dollars into this place, billions with a B.
3:05
I mean, just their pools and cabanas and, I mean, it, it, it's, it reminds me of being in, like, the Bahamas or something. Yeah. It was really, really nice. I didn't expect it to be that nice.
3:15
I was at the pool every day, which I normally don't do. But I had some friends down there, and they were gonna go to the pool. I said, "Oh, I'll go to the pool." And, um, yeah, it, it was... Oh, oh, I learned something.
3:24
So I brought... I knew I was gonna go to the pool. Did you wear the Kangol at the pool? That's what we wanna know. I did, in the water a little bit. Okay. And then I took it off a little bit. Just curious. Yeah.
3:31
But I, I learned something. Good question. But you can't get sunburnt. That's the only question I had. I'm not sure. I'll, I'll make you laugh.
3:35
I'm talking about all these tens of thousands of dollars, and I'll, I'll make you laugh. I'll get the frugal Bill Krackomberger. I had some sunblock in the apartment from three or four years ago, I guess.
3:46
I just said, "Let me bring, let me bring the sunblock with me." So I put the sunblock on, and I, and then at the end of the day I'm like, "Wow, I got a little burn my, my head." And I go, "How did I get burnt?"
3:57
Well, I realized it expired in 2020. [laughs] So- Wait, where'd you bring the sunblock from? From, from Vegas. From Vegas. Sunblock expires.
4:04
[laughs] It expires, but, you know, I'm always a, a, a proponent of saying everything expires, but it's, it's still good. Right. Yeah. Not the sunblock. Expired. Sunblock definitely expires. Expired. I did not know that.
4:13
Yeah. I learned something today. Yeah. Sunblock expires. Expired, expired. So I think about it, I said, "You know, I bought this at Dollar Tree, I think." I was like, "That, that's..."
4:21
You know, like, I'm thinking to myself, "What's wrong with me? Why, why wouldn't I br- get a good sunblock from 2024 that I still have this one from 2020?" Which is probably from 2016.
4:31
Well, aren't you limited to, like, 3.3 fluid ounces or 3.4 fluid ounces when traveling anyway? Yeah. Yeah, but it, it was in the bag, though. It was in the bag. And I- Oh, you, you checked it...
4:38
so I immediately got, you know, got robbed for $25 for a Coppertone one at the, at the hotel. But, uh, I just thought it was kind of funny. Um, just the way- I, I-...
4:46
the way you l- we live our life sometimes, and then sometimes we live our life so differently. And I was just like, "Well, what's wrong with me? I just, I mean, I'm betting tens of thousands here."
4:56
[laughs] And you won't buy the $25 suncreen. At a Dollar Tree five or five-year-old sunblock. We're all, we're all like that, though. Yeah. We're all old. Try to get the best of everything.
5:03
I said, "Oh, I got some of the sunblock in my, in my, uh," By the way, I've, I think I've said this on air. I've had a low-key, very low, this tone argument with a TSA agent about them stealing my sunblock. Oh, wow.
5:13
I'm like, "You think-" Yeah. I said, "You think the world's gonna be safe that you just stole my sunblock, right?" They go, "Actually," and they go, "Actually, I think the world is safer."
5:18
And I go, "Eh, I don't think so. I don't think it is." [laughs] "I think it is, sir." I would have loved to have been there for that. [laughs] Wow. We're gonna get to that. We're gonna get to the problems at the airport.
5:27
Yeah. I'm gonna come, I'm gonna get to that. Yeah. But I wanted to tell you the... So the Hard Rock, everything from the rooms to the sh- the unbelievable shows.
5:35
I mean, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are gonna be there this weekend, or the next weekend. Um, Diana Ross- My band's going, yes...
5:41
Diana Ross was just there, like, out of retirement, they go to the Hard- By the, by the way, her voice at 76 years old is still spectacular. Unbelievable, right? Yeah, yeah. Uh, the rooms- The rooms are great.
5:50
I stayed in there a couple times- Rooms... when they first opened. It was awesome, yeah. Rooms are, rooms are unbelievable.
5:55
You know, if, you know, you guys know what hotel rooms are in Neva- Nevada, Las Vegas, and wherever casinos you go to.
6:01
So when you go to an outside room- S- at a hotel, like, like The Masters, and you stay in Motel 6 or, or, or, you know, uh, one of the motels. You say to yourself, "Oh my God, this is the disaster."
6:15
[laughs] We're expecting hotel rooms like Las Vegas, and like, you know, no, seriously, like- No, that's fair... like The Masters, I, I, I pay 600 a night for, for, for Hampton Inn. Yeah. It, it's a dump.
6:25
We do get spoiled here. So we get so spoiled- Yeah... to, for the, the, our room qual- And, and the rooms there, I felt like I was in literally The Bahamas. It was unbelievable. The meals were great there.
6:35
The service was really good. Um- Do you know we're getting a big old guitar here? Is- I, I, the re- that's the reason I'm saying it. Oh.
6:42
I think it's gonna be m- if it's, if it's anything like that experience at Hard Rock Hollywood, it's over, brother. They're getting all the business here. Really? Hard Rock gets all the business here.
6:52
It is gonna be the most iconic thing on the scr- on the strip. Like, right now, what would you say, the Stratosphere needle is, like, the iconic thing on the strip?
6:58
Even though no one goes there, but when you think of the strip, maybe. But that's- Bellagio fountains. Oh, f- Bellagio fountains too. But I'm just saying if you took a snapshot, right? Right, yeah.
7:05
I'm s- your skyline more, yeah. I think that the guitar would, will be it. I'm just, I'm personally annoyed by it, just 'cause it feels like South Florida's following me. Right. Like, it's like, oh, fountain blue, cool.
7:16
I to- Like [laughs]... I talked to S- I talked to South Florida last week, and they're like, "We're following Kelly. We're totally following."
7:20
Like, fountain blue and Hard Rock, like, uh, it was [laughs] So when is the last time you guys have been to Hard Rock Hollywood? Were, were you there, there recently? I- I was there probably six years ago.
7:27
Oh, that long ago, okay. It was, um, also, I'll just tell you- Hollywood geographically is w- is very c- short drive from Miami. If, if you- Yeah... have no traffic, of course. Right, right.
7:36
Yeah, and it's over by the turnpike. Yes. So you're like, uh- It's by the turnpike, but it's, it's 20, it's 15 minutes from the airport. Yeah. From the, from the Fort Lauderdale Airport, 35 from the Miami Airport.
7:44
Close to the stadium. Yep, close to the stadium. And, um, boy, the weekend, the eye candy down there. Oh my God. [laughs] It's like a Miss Latino pageant every weekend.
7:56
Like, I, for now on, I, I was rooting for Colombia in the Olympics. I'm rooting for them in everything. I mean- [laughs]... it's unbelievable down there.
8:03
I mean, beautiful, beautiful girls, one after another, and, and f- the friendliness. So there's that. So and I had a guy come up and get a, ask for a selfie, right? Oh. Ask for a selfie. Oh, he recognized you.
8:14
As a matter of fact- Recognized you... let me tell you something. Yeah. I cannot believe the recognition from this show. I, I mean, it, the, there's a big South Florida following of your show, Kel.
8:27
I love you, South Florida. People came up to me because of this show, like multiple people, not one or two, m- I was walking... Listen, how can this happen? I'm walking through the pool with no hat.
8:36
How can you recognize me without the hat? I'd recognize you when you had the baseball hat on. You rec- yeah. When you first came on our show, I'm like, "Bill, is that you?" [laughs] Someone jumped out of the pool.
8:43
A guy jumped out of the pool. "Wait, wait a minute," he said. I just, now he, he just seen me on a, he seen JetBlue, Action's still on JetBlue. It's unbelievable. Oh, that's awesome. Action's still on JetBlue.
8:50
[laughs] But, um, him and his wife just watched, like, the night before flying in. But, um, anyway, they recognized me from this show. But the selfies, then a girl comes over to me. I don't even know this girl.
9:01
She goes, "Can I get a selfie too?" I said, "Sure." She says, "What do you do?" [laughs] Like, she just wanna, just, she was just being f- like, like, they just wanna be in- involved down there.
9:10
It's, it's really cool down there. But now, let's, but now just for clarification, explain to me the Florida, uh, gambling environment, that that is the only game in town, so to speak. I found- Yeah...
9:21
I found out that, that you could actually bet sports all over Florida. I didn't know that. I thought it was only at the two Hard Rocks. Well, if you were on a property. Yeah. Yeah. But you can...
9:31
No, but they have the app. You, you, you have an app in-state. Right. You can bet. That you can use now all in-state, yeah.
9:35
You can use their app anywhere, but there's other properties all throughout the state of the Seminole Tribe. I didn't even know. Correct. You can go to Coconut Creek and bet sports. Mm-hmm. I was like, "What?"
9:45
Oh, really? Coconut... Yeah, like, I didn't realize that. And now, and then, then I seen the printout. There's, like, 50 places that have kiosks set up all over the state now. Hmm.
9:53
So you don't have to, you don't have to be, you don't have to go, like, right to the counter. Um, but by the way, I, I took- Now, I think they're all under the Hard Rock umbrella though, right?
10:01
I, I guess they're all under the Seminole umbrella. Seminole Casino Coconut Creek- That's what it is... it is under Hard Rock. Hard Rock, okay. It is a part of Hard Rock.
10:08
But like, like- So it is in effect the only game in town. But like- Yeah, yeah... all, okay, like Fort Myers you can bet. I was like, "Fort Myers?" Yeah, you can bet in Fort Myers.
10:15
Like, I was, I was, I didn't, I didn't understand how they had the, the... I thought it was just the two properties that allowed sports betting. Hmm. So good guys.
10:22
They all, they, I, I've, I've only met really good guys up at the counter there betting, and, um, they told me, you know, I, I like that they say, "Hey," I tried to bet a dime or so on something.
10:31
I was trying, I was betting some NBA props. He's like, "Uh, you can put a nickel through, or you, we can send a dime through for approval, but, um, you can put the nickel right through."
10:40
So I put the nickel through, waited 10 minutes, went up again, put the nickel through again. I mean, they, they were cool about it too. You know? Then I, I, I'll be real blunt. I went to the kiosk.
10:48
They didn't change again. I bet again. You know, 300, 300. The kiosk was set at 300. So, um, but I gave them time in between. I wasn't trying to circumvent limits. They were, they were...
10:57
You know, some of them, they moved right away. One bet I made for a nickel, they moved right away. Is a little part of you thinking about moving there? No. Oh, okay. No, I can't stand the humidity and the bugs.
11:05
[laughs] Who likes that? I'll never be in a humid place again. Mosquitoes. Really? Never. Never ever. Um, but, and it, by the way, they got hit with a heat, heat wave. It was 100, which it never is 100.
11:15
Usually it's like 90, 85. It was 100 degrees and hu- and humid. Yeah, I was in that pool. It's- And the pools are so beautiful. Waterfalls come over your head, so I was like, "This is unbelievable."
11:24
Oh, Billy is mesmerized. No, it was, I was really impressed by it, by it. But now there's some bad too. We'll talk about it after the break. Uh, mosquitoes call the airport and make sure my flight arrives on time. Right.
11:33
Right. They love me. Yeah. That's a, it's a real Achilles' heel. Yeah. Uh, okay, more with the Crack Man unscripted, the bad, and other topics. He's got a list today. He's got things on his mind.
11:43
It's a Numbers Game at VSiN, the sports betting network. [upbeat music] A Numbers Game on VSiN, the sports betting network.
12:01
Back on a Numbers Game, live from Bar Canada here at the Deeds, Gil Alexander, Kelly Bidlack, and Bill Krackomberger, who you can follow on Twitter at BillKrackman with a K, and of course, uh, the name of his podcast is called Wise Cracks.
12:14
With Bill Krackenberger and John Orlando, your, uh, co-hosts Yeah, we'll be filming today. Uh, we're one day late. John's a little under the weather. You have a... You... Oh, what are you showing me here?
12:24
I was gonna go to an airline story. Wait. Oh, oh. Oh. No, the, the good- the going to the good and the bad, then we'll get to the airlines. Okay. I have some stuff. Yeah.
12:30
Now, so I said some of the, all, a lot of the good things that I really liked. The bad things, their vouchers expire in 30 days. Oh. I'm, I'm bothered by that. So 30 days, I can't get my 54 cents.
12:40
You better get that 54 cents quick. Yeah. So, uh, yeah, their- Clock's ticking... their vouchers expire in 30 days, which most of them, you know, here are at least 90 or six months or a year. Um, I was bothered by that.
12:52
Also, no card counting down there. Here's why. When you go to the table- [laughs]... if you give your... If you re- if you're not gonna give an ID- Yeah...
13:01
so you go up to the table and you say, um, they ask for a card, and you say no, and you learn things. Bill Krackenberger learned things by this trip. We're talking about the Hard Rock in Florida, right?
13:13
Hard Rock in Florida, yeah. Yep. Yeah. You, you, you have to... In other words, e- even if I go with someone to the table, they have, they, they should always get a card.
13:20
You should always have a card because, um, they have a rule there. They give you this placard for the cameras. If you don't have a card, they put the placard- Oh, my gosh...
13:29
right where you're gonna bet, and it says, "Refuse ID." Refuse... I would give them my ID. I don't care. Have you ever seen that before? Never seen anything like that before, ever.
13:37
Never, never seen anything like that before. Matter of fact, here it is. Me either. I have- That's bizarre... this is, and, and this is on the table.
13:44
Any player who does not wish to be rated will be restricted to one spot and a maximum bet of 10 time the posted table minimum. So if the table minimum- Wow... is 50 bucks, you could bet 500.
13:55
By the way, you, you get the money on 10 to one spread. Uh, 50 to 500, you're gonna get the money. But they are really strict on... That, that little round thing that comes up that you, you, you just can't...
14:06
Then the camera knows that, oh, this guy didn't give an ID. Watch him. You know what I mean? Right. So you always wanna give, give a card there. Plus, they don't have any double deck. They have six and eight deck.
14:14
It's harder to... I think the, the better thing is double deck and, or single deck with good rules, but yeah, so they, they didn't have those, uh... That, that's really it. It's hard. Maybe, you know what?
14:24
The area- I'm actually shocked the language is that clear. Yeah. That they, that they're, like, upfront- Oh, yeah... about it. Like, hey- They don't want-... if you don't give this- If you don't give this, we're-...
14:31
we're gonna be watching you, basically. We're gonna be watching you. Yeah. They drop a little- And we're gonna kick you out... they drop a little disc r- on, uh, right where you're gonna bet.
14:37
The disc is right in front of the do- the mo- you know, this guy gave no ID, basically. He doesn't wanna be rated. Um, so that was interesting.
14:45
Uh, i- it's good to blend in on a we- listen, on a weekend I'm sure you can blend in. Right, yeah. And, you know, no one's gonna be asking... Uh, by the way, you should come up with chips. Never...
14:53
Well, card counters will always know that already. You, you never wanna buy in for cash where they have to get the attention of the floor person.
14:59
Just bring chips and, and, um, you know, it's not as easy as I'm saying, so I'm making it sound like it's much simpler.
15:04
But you ever notice, you guys notice this, a lot of these gaming destre- destinations around the country, the area outside is so bad. I, um, they must copy off Atlantic City, I swear. It's like, uh, the area's so bad.
15:19
So there's a store back east called Wawa, which I like, the Wawa stores. Yep, yep. Oh, I like those. Which is like- Yep...
15:25
which is like a, um, 7-Eleven, but it's a, it's a, it's just a better experience for me when I go in. I feel like they had just expanded to Florida when I left. Yeah.
15:32
They, they have tons of locations all over Florida now. So I'll, I'm willing to bet the two worst, but most dangerous Wawas are outside- [laughs]... the Tampa one- Mm-hmm... and outside the, the, the Hollywood one. Yep.
15:45
No, it, it, they're, they're rough. They're rough. Yeah, they're not, they're not great areas. No. I mean... But the areas they're in are, are, are just absolutely terrible. But, but I'm not putting Wawa down.
15:53
I love Wawa. Well, when you say close to the turnpike, it, it kinda- Oh, really? It's kinda, kinda built in. Oh, yeah. I know, I know. I, I think I have a... you both beat.
16:00
I, uh, I don't know if it's rough or I don't know, but it's... J- I think I've told this before, Jay Rudin and I- Okay... Jay Rudin used to be the vice president of racing sports at MGM. Oh, yeah.
16:08
We used to go around the country to all of the MGM casinos. And we went to, uh, Borgata many times, and it's beautiful, and Beau Rivage in Mississippi, and it's beautiful. Very beautiful.
16:18
Um, but then one time we went, we flew into, uh, Memphis, Tennessee, and we drove from Memphis, Tennessee into- Tunica?... Tu- yeah, Northwest Mississippi- Yeah... into Tunica. And it's the p- it's- Oh...
16:30
it's really a destitute part of the country. And, I, I mean, I, I, I'd be lying if I told you I didn't say to Jay at the time, I was like, "Well, this is the first time I feel kind of dirty about this." Right?
16:40
Like, it just, you know, the s- s- we have to be aware that that is, that was an old school model. It was. Right? Like, let's throw this casino- In the '90s... in the middle of this- Yeah, yep...
16:51
you know, and people are betting their paychecks and stuff. Oh, it's sad. It's sad. Sad. It was very sad, yeah, yeah.
16:57
And when you went there- People were, people were great, but, you know, you couldn't help but notice that. Yeah, no, I, I've been to Tunica, and I mean, just think of Tunica.
17:02
They, they closed, like, five casinos since they've opened. Yeah.
17:05
Um, you know, I, I went to the Grand Casinos in Tunica, and I've been, I've been there a couple times and, and, um, it, it, it is, it's a, it's a destitute area. It's poor, and it's...
17:15
That saddens me when I see- It was very sad... the beginning of the month, you see- Yep... everyone blowing their checks and- It was... and... But I'll tell you what, you go to California, there's Indian casinos there.
17:24
I know. You see the same thing at the beginning of the month. That's what, that's what I mean. I, I think it, it exists- Yeah... sadly in so many different places. It, it, it really is.
17:31
It's a, it's a sad thing, and I see that. But let me just tell you now, um, also, we're gonna get to...
17:36
Oh, it, it was so busy there that they had marshals at the doors on Friday and Saturday night only allowing so many people in. I mean, there was that, they had- Wow... the, the cops redirecting traffic.
17:48
The parking garages, you couldn't get spaces in. Um, now I don't know what's going on down there. I...
17:53
You know, someone said, "Oh, well, they have the, all the Bitcoin conferences are always here, and the seminars, and it's Bitcoin money." I don't know if it's Bitcoin. I, I have no...
17:59
But there's a lot of young people spending money, I can tell you that. Um, but it's like, it reminded me of, like, the old Cocaine Cowboys movie.
18:05
Like, we're there, we're just like, "Where are they getting this money from?" [laughs] All these young people. I'm like, you know, that cocaine built up Florida in the '70s and '80s. I mean, that, that's...
18:14
You know, you guys seen the, the special, the, the documentary? Yeah. It was great. Well, so, like, the po- but the positives of that location, right? Yeah.
18:21
Okay, A, it's not fi- it's not easy to find cheap land in South Florida, right? Yeah. So you go a little further west, but they're also doing...
18:28
It's kind of the same thing as where, like, the Panthers Arena is at for hockey. You get to draw.
18:33
You're far enough north that you can draw from the Palm Beach County and rich Boca Raton, rich Delray Beach, West Palm Beach area, and also draw from, you know, Miami, Fort Lauderdale. You have a great point.
18:44
There's just a lot of money down there. Yeah. If, if, if you're an ideal person in life and you're making the kind of money, you want a, maybe a place in Calif- Southern California, New York, Vegas, and South Florida.
18:56
I mean, you, you're right. Yeah. There's some of them, some of those areas there are just, uh, amazing. And you're right. And I'm not even thinking, they're, they're drawing probably from that Boca area.
19:04
I went to Boca for dinner one night, um- I mean, that's a 30-minute drive from Boca. It was 30- Less, less... it was, it was 30 minutes, yeah. I went to a, um, a, a steakhouse there in Boca, which was absolutely packed.
19:14
Like, couldn't get in packed. Um, a- and it's beautiful areas there, too. There is. There's some really great... But a lot of areas are old in, in South Florida. Mm-hmm. They're old. You can see the area.
19:24
Like, let me tell you something. Like LA, a lot of areas in LA are old. They're just old. But inside that casino, nothing but the top-of-the-line stuff, guys. Not, not to break your, uh, flow- No...
19:34
but can we get to the very relatable airline story? Man, I, I had- [laughs] I had probably one of the worst, one of the worst- Give me... Shut up about Florida and talk airplanes.
19:42
[laughs] One of the worst airline experiences- No, I remember that... one of the worst airline experiences of, of all time. Um, you know, there's only so many airlines that fly nonstop to Vegas.
19:51
There's Spirit flies nonstop to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, or JetBlue flies to Fort Lauderdale, or American. That's it. American goes to Miami.
20:02
So I had a spontaneous trip where I had to get there for the next day, and I'm only gonna... If I'm gonna be on Spirit, I have to be in one of those big front seats at the front. It's more comfortable. It's $100 more.
20:10
It's well worth it to me. So, um, I, I flew direct to Miami, and the, the flight in was fine. Nighttime flight. As a matter of fact, you guys were talking about... 'Cause most people hate the red-eyes.
20:22
I, I, I want- We all love them. I, I, I love- I love the red-eye... I like the red-eye. I, I think it's- Otherwise, Kelly, known as the ojo rojo. [laughs] What is that?
20:30
Other- otherwise known as Kelly has a few cocktails and goes to sleep for five hours and wakes up- Yeah, yeah... in Florida. [laughs] Oh, but, but it, it's quiet. It's, it's a... That's what it is.
20:37
You know, you got maybe people got a drink. It's pretty quiet at night- Yeah... you're flying in. The flying back is always a problem. Oh.
20:43
And well, anyone coming to Vegas from probably most destinations, they're gonna be tuned up. They're gonna be pumped up. They're gonna be drinking on the plane.
20:51
Well, I had a plane full of people that were just out of their minds, man. I, I had some... First of all, I sit against the window, and Drago sits next to me. This guy, he, uh, six foot nine- [laughs]...
21:02
you know, a- and, and he's just... He took the armrest. But I was like, "Okay, you can do it." I mean, his, his arm was bigger than my leg. [laughs] I mean, yeah, go ahead.
21:10
And, and then he sa- he doesn't say nothing to me, but he turns to me, he said, "How long flight?" I said, "I, I think five hours." "Yeah." He gr- he growled. [laughs] And I was like, wow, look at the size of this.
21:20
This guy was 6'9". He couldn't fi- like he just couldn't fit. You do something about it. No, no. He, he just, you know, he... But I think he pointed to me once and told the stewardess, "If he dies, he dies."
21:30
I think that's what he said. But yeah, I mean, he just- [laughs] He, he sits next to me, and it's not... It wasn't a big deal, but he was gassy. Oh, no. That was terrible.
21:38
Then I, then I'm so glad he went to the bathroom on the flight, actually. He went to the... He was in there for a half hour. They were trying to... They were like getting ready to knock on the door. Yeah, he's giant.
21:45
I don't know how he fit in the bathroom. This guy was 6'9". I didn't even want to ask him what he did. And you know, it's funny, in the end when he was leaving the plane, he left his phone charger on the seat.
21:54
He got right out. Didn't say a word to me the whole plane. I... Now, which is fine. Not, I, you know, not talking. I'm, I'm, I'm not talking to him on the plane either.
22:02
He left his phone charger on the seat, so I seen it and said, "Buddy." Instead of saying thank you, he growled again. Grr. [laughs] Like he growled at me. I, I, I, I was like, wow.
22:13
All right, Billy, you're burying the headlights. So what happened here on this flight? Uh, I was in row two. In row 23, there was a giant disturbance because someone touched these two girls' Air Jordans in the overhead.
22:26
Oh my. So we're gonna, we're gonna talk about that when we get back. Oh my. Oh my God, it turned into a disaster. Someone touched another person's Air Jordans. Air Jordans.
22:34
The, the stewardess trying to make room for the beds, bags. It got so bad we all had to get off the plane. Oh my. I gotta hear about this. Oh my God.

23:37
on their subscription. It's very generous of him. Yeah, he's a really nice guy. That's vsin.com/subscribe. Real quick before we get to, uh, Krac's, uh, plane story. Uh, Guardians won yesterday.
23:45
They came from behind, were down three to nothing to the Mets. They come back, they win it. Um, but guess what?
23:51
They've won 9 out of 10, and it's like it just might be whistling in the wind because the Philadelphia Phillies will never lose another baseball game. Um, Guardians are 14 and 7.
24:03
They're exactly now where I thought they would be after 21 games at 14 and 7. Uh, this is for the most wins by the end of May update. But the Phillies are 16 and 3. They're in first.
24:14
Two wins ahead of the Guardians, and right now would also have the tiebreaker.
24:18
Today, the Guardians are off, and so today is the day where if you have a Guardians bet like me, you just have to root against the Phillies and the Yankees.
24:25
And the Phillies are big favorites going up against, uh, Andrew Heaney of the Rangers. Um- But if the Phillies win today, the Guardians can win out and it might not even happen Right. Yeah, you're getting to that point.
24:37
It's just, it's just an incredible performance by one baseball team, who by the way, also had the most wins in March, April. In the end. But, uh, just a, a, a ma- amazing run by the Phillies.
24:47
Now, if the Phillies do lose today, uh, stay tuned. [laughs] In my best Larry David. That's your Guardians update. Oh, we're running out of days, right? Regardless. We're just running out of days. Yeah. Yeah. We'll see.
24:58
Good, good on them, though. Okay. Listen, we can be right about our handicap, but if another team goes 16 and three, not a whole bunch you can do.
25:05
Bill Krackenberger rejoins us, @BillKrackman with a K, and again, uh, Wisecracks the name of the podcast, with John Orlando. So somebody dared touch somebody else's Air Jordans in the overhead bin.
25:19
Well, it was the stewardess. But be- before I get to that, the- Wait, the stewardess touched it? The stewardess. No, the, the- The flight attendant... she was making room.
25:24
The flight attendant was making room for the more bags. Oh. Yeah. Yeah, but we'll get to that in one second. I want to ask both of you guys something. Yeah.
25:31
When your flight's at 8:00 PM, do you get to the airport at 6:00 PM, two hours? A domestic flight? Yeah. I get there fairly early. People make fun of me. I try to get there. People make fun of me too. Yeah.
25:41
I get there two ho- I'm two hours. I have the intention to do so, and- Yeah... sometimes do and sometimes don't. No. I, I, I, I think you, you have- You don't have to lie about it, man. It's okay.
25:49
No, you have to al- Bro... you have to allow for things. When I, when I go to California- Yeah... after a Friday morning show, I'm literally the guy that gets in and they close the door behind me. Oh, that's, oh, man.
25:57
Bill runs out here some Fridays. I'm like, "What time's your flight?" He's like, "10:30." Like [laughs] Oh my God. No one, no, it's not 10:30. Dude, when, when we did the South Point- Yeah...
26:05
swear to God, we would get off at 9:00 AM and the flight to Cali would be at 10:15, and I'd be on that flight. Unbelievable. Yeah, no, seriously. Oh, that's unbelievable. Yeah. Oh, so you're, you're one of those.
26:14
You're on that side. It's not like, it's not fun, by the way. No, it's not fun. I'm not proud of it. No. Listen, uh, the hassle of flying, running late and, and, and, you know, yeah, people just think...
26:23
Well, and these people just think that they're the only ones there. It's a self-centered generation. Like, I, I, I've had people play headset, like, uh, not, without, without headsets.
26:31
They play their iPhones and iPads in the airport. It's, it's everywhere. That's everywhere. You can't take it. It's driving me insane. Like, like, why don't you just put a headset on? I know.
26:37
Like, I was sitting in the airport in Miami. If you're in a public restroom, I don't need to hear what your video you're watching in the, in the stall is. No, it, it- I really don't need that...
26:43
it's even worse when they're sitting be- by you in the air- I, I just... But they're, you know, they're kids. They're under 30. They're, they're just... Like, how stupid are they, though?
26:50
Just, you have to have consideration for other people around you. Plug the thing in. You would hope so. And now they want to laugh out loud, real loud.
26:56
They want to laugh at their J- their, their, their Instagram or TikToks a- and they don't even, you know, uh, have a, have the headset in. So- I had one this past week.
27:03
It was a little less egregious because they might not have been aware, but a guy in o- on the other side of the aisle had his phone perfectly situated where the sunlight was coming in. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
27:12
So he was destroying me and the girl next to me. Oh, yeah. Oh. He didn't know, though. He didn't know, though. No. No, man. Well, I say that, but then when the- He said that...
27:19
but we were in an exit row, and then when the flight attendant came by and wanted the verbal yes, he was so into his phone, he, he wasn't even aware. Oh my God. So I was like, "Okay, this guy's just in his own world."
27:27
So all right. Now, get on the plane. I'm in row two. In row 23, I hear a disturbance all the way back there, and I'm like, "Wow, that's weird."
27:37
And the, the flight attendant comes up and tells the other girls, "These people are screaming and yelling at me, and literally were cursing, cursing at me," because I touched their Air Jordans and moved them over.
27:47
And they said, "No, put the Air Jordans go on top. Do not touch my shoes."
27:51
And next thing you know, um, they sent a different stewardess back there, uh, flight attendant, and she's like, "We have to get them off the plane. They're, they're drinking. They're cursing us out."
28:02
So now they get to the front of the plane. They call someone to come, and the people say, and the, and the two girls say, "We're not getting off this plane. We're not getting off. We paid.
28:11
We're not getting off this plane." So what happens when that happens? You have to deplane everyone. Oh. Oh. I felt bad for the lady in front of me. It was, it was a lady in the wheelchair in front of me. I felt so bad.
28:21
Oh. It was so hard for her getting on. Could, 'cause the selfishness of that. Yeah. But some of the other people on the plane, well, more people got arrested.
28:29
By the way, four people, four, four people wind up getting arrested. Whoa. Yeah.
28:34
Two, the two who were arrested in the back, and then two other girls that were sticking up for them 20 rows a- that knew nothing about the situation.
28:40
They just went crazy because they had to get off the plane, and they felt they were, they were also drinking and, and wanted to get, they just wanted to get going.
28:47
So they get us all off the plane, and I know what happens now, because I've been on one plane in my life where you had, where they got people off. I know what happens. The plane gets to cancel.
28:57
So my, my finger's on the button to, to, to book the next plane tomorrow, because I know what happens. They just cancel the plane, and that's it. So- Wait, why do they do that, though?
29:05
Is that the trickle-down effect because they don't want to be late in the next city?
29:08
There, there's, there's, there is a trickle-down effect, especially this is three hours now we're going to have to wait to get on the- Yeah... where you scream it at them.
29:14
But I hear they're taking five dimes at, uh- Yeah... down at Hard Rock in Florida. Oh my God. You got to get me on the next plane. Jesus. Uh, now this was opposite, though. This was Miami to here. Oh, sorry.
29:22
So we're in Miami. We're going, we're coming here, and these people are getting off the plane, and next thing you know, I see four people arrested.
29:30
They arrested the t- the two girls that were one row behind me on the other side, I- they were really mouthing off, too. They're cuffing them. Oh, yeah. They were off the plane.
29:38
They got, they got all four of them off the plane, and they arrested them. And the crowd actually cheered, you know, because they're- I would cheer, too... yeah, the crowd actually cheer.
29:45
I got, I have a video on my phone. The crowd actually cheered, um- You know, there was a big viral video that was out last week- Yes... of some woman in, in front here. That happened that morning. Same morning.
29:53
It happened same morning that, that- She wouldn't say yes in the exit row. She refused to comply with the exit row responsibilities. Yeah.
29:59
By the way, Kelly, I don't know if you know this, I take my exit row responsibilities very seriously. I do a whole bit. [laughs] Uh, but she said no. Well, she had to say yes. She said no.
30:06
"I'll help in the event of an emergency." She said, "I'm not doing it." She says, "I'm not helping anybody in an emergency." No. She actually said that, I believe, out loud. Yeah. And then she was selfish.
30:14
Everybody had to get off the, uh, everybody had to get off the plane because she wouldn't do it, and then she lied that she didn't say no. Of course she did About it Of course she did. No.
30:24
And, and, um- But whole planes, like whole... People have plans, man. Right. These girls were just cursing at everyone. 'Cause the one walked up to the front, they were cursing. And they sent the, they sent two cops.
30:34
They, they, first of all, uh, they're real cops too, by the way. They're not... They're real cops. How come they'd send two cops, uh, males? Send, you have to send the female cops. It's a females problem. This is a...
30:44
You can't just send, send men. At least I think you should send some females. Well, [clears throat] here comes the whole SWAT team. 20 people showed up. Oh, no. [laughs] Um, which they did.
30:52
They finally got some- Oh, God. But if the girls would've got off the plane when the cops told them to, they wouldn't have had a deplane. You know, you understand? They, they had now everyone off. Right.
31:01
'Cause we have to separate and get these people off the plane, you know? Um, yeah. I think the moral of the story there is- It's bad. It's bad... if your Air Jordans are that precious to you- Right...
31:08
you probably should put them under the seat in front of you, right? Isn't that the moral? You, you really- Um, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I was actually thinking, like you- Yeah... well, I mean, we're talking Jordans.
31:16
These could be like $5,000 shoes- [laughs]... or something like that. Yeah. No, man, these weren't $5,000 shoes. Okay. All right. No, not, not these clown shoes.
31:22
I was trying to think maybe you put it in a hard case somehow in your suitcase. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But, but I think, Gil, I actually think you're right. I think you put, just put it right below you.
31:29
That works out rather well. Yeah. Does, does Bill Krackomberger- How about-... remain calm during these episodes? Yeah, of course. Yeah. How about the group? You know, when I get upset, whenever...
31:36
I, I'm usually sitting in the front of the plane. How, how about when these people behind you, when the plane lands, think they could just get up? Like the- Oh. We're, we're taxiing. The, the, the, the- They know...
31:45
you know, the, the girl has to come on and say, "We're, we're on an active runway. Please sit down." Yeah. "Oh, I have to get my bag, though." It's their first time ever on a plane, Bill. Yeah. That's fair.
31:52
It was a whole process even for the airlines, right? Like, why do, why do we bo- why do we board planes from front to back and not reverse? Wow. Like, why don't you get people on- Yeah...
32:01
and then they can get settled in the back, and then you get the rest of the people on? Yeah. But I, I, I'm talking about the- Those are the ramblings...
32:06
the people that when you land and you're, now the, the little thing, ding comes on and everyone gets up- Yeah... and rushes to their bags, you always have those people that dart out the runway. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
32:17
Like, like go past me. Like, where you going? Like, you've been on a plane for five hours. Like, where, where are you- What's the rush?
32:21
[laughs] Where you co- Like they- The old- They think, the row five people think they can get out and, and go ahead of row two people. It's the old- And row one people... it's the old connecting flight excuse.
32:28
"I got a connecting flight." Oh, there's no connecting flight. Of course there's not. It's usually, you know, it's- No. And I'll tell you something else. I hate, I hate those people. I'm actually okay with...
32:34
But, like, as long... You have to say it, right? Like, like if you- You do... let me know you have a connecting flight- Right... I will let you go ahead, ahead. They should announce that.
32:40
And, and, and I, and I have no problem- But Bill-... with those people Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do. They say the certain people have to go to here- Yeah...
32:46
and certain people have to go to there. This, this ain't the people I'm talking about. Yeah, that's not that. I'm talking about the ones that say they gotta go smoke. Yeah. And by the way, that happened again.
32:53
Someone was smoking on the plane in the bathroom. No. Yes. It hap- This is like the third time it's happened to me. Cigarettes or weed? Cigarettes. But, uh, like- How do you smoke a cigarette in an airplane?
33:01
Like, it's- Yeah. I, I just, uh... Gil, are you old enough like me? Do you remember pl- the cigarettes on airplanes? Maybe. I flew a flight from Newark to Boston in like 1985. There was [laughs]...
33:12
The guy next to me was smoking. I just remembered that. I re- I re- Oh, no, I do, because- Or '80, maybe '84...
33:16
well, I mean, do you remember, like, fast food restaurants, there was like a smoking section and a non-smoking? Oh, yeah. And the only thing separating them was air? [laughs] Like, it was just, it was just so stupid.
33:24
Right. Air. Anyway. Um, Bill Krackomberger, everybody. @BillKrackman with a K. Uh, we're coming back. Always unscripted. He's got a lot to talk about right here on The Numbers Game at VSiN, the sports betting network.
33:35
[upbeat music] A Numbers Game on VSiN, the sports betting network.

34:12
The crown is yours. Kelly hit on the, uh, Mavericks last night again, plus the points. Uh, one leg up in his, uh, Mavericks futures. One-nothing lead over the T-Wolves. We went through that, uh, earlier on the show.
34:24
Um, just an amazing game of runs down the stretch. Game two tomorrow night, where the T-Wolves are, uh, five-point favorites once again. Um, total's at 207 and a half. Tonight, the Celtics nine-point favorites.
34:36
A total of 225. 225, uh, trying to go up two to nothing in their best of seven Eastern Conference finals against the Indiana Pacers. I am on the Pacers plus the points in basketball tonight. You have anything tonight?
34:48
No, nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I- if anything, though, I would be, I'd be looking at points here. Yeah. I think if you're playing... I do think if you're playing either side, it's, it's- I'm a sprinkle...
34:56
like, you're playing money line. I'm a sprinkle. You're playing money line. And I think if you're playing Celtics, I think you're laying some alts.
35:00
Like, they're, they're gonna have some games where they're gonna shoot lights out and they're gonna win big probably. But, um, but that's how I'd be approaching it. Yeah. I do have, I have the series. What do I have?
35:10
I have four... I have Celtics in five. Celtics in five. So I am, I'll be rooting for the Celtics tomorrow. I will be rooting against you. How about that? Mm-hmm.
35:16
This is where we say we decided it was okay to root against each other. This is what happens this time of year. That's what happens. [laughs] Yep. I love Zach and JVT. I, I texted them very mean things yesterday.
35:23
[laughs] I hope your Mavericks go down. I hope your T-Wolves go down, that kind of thing.
35:28
Uh, and then Drew and I, Drew Diska and I are gonna do a French Open, uh, podcast here right after the show in 15 minutes, talk about our favorite bets here.
35:35
Or at least hypothetically, 'cause we won't have Q, we won't have quarterly numbers, but we will give our thoughts on all the quarters on the men's and the ladies' side.
35:43
Bill Krackomberger is here, um, @BillKrackman with a K. Wise cracks with Bill Krackomberger, John Orlando. I had a good guest a couple weeks ago, George Martorano, his name is, from Philadelphia.
35:53
He, uh, he was in jail for 32 years. Five years in the hole for selling marijuana. Wow. Yes. He, he was railroaded for selling marijuana in the '80s. Granted, he was dealing with Pablo Escobar and, uh, Griselda Blanco.
36:09
Oh, there's more to the story. [laughs] No, he was dealing with- Yeah... Griselda Blanco, who was the real boss, which I, you know, I always think they build her up and He, he said absolutely not. She was the boss.
36:18
Pablo respected Griselda. She was a, the godmother, you know? I don't know if you know this- Yeah... the Cocaine Cowboys whole story. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
36:24
Yeah, so, so George was, uh, not only that, he was a cellmate in Marion with John Gotti for two years. Hmm. Him and John were in the same cell together. So, uh, it was a really good...
36:35
If you guys wanna watch a good podcast, just go to YouTube, uh, go to Brad Wins. How'd you get him on the show?
36:39
I met him at a restaurant a couple days earlier with a lot of gathering, a lot of the old-timers in town over at Dom DeMarco's. The guy, Al, that owns it, he said, "Why don't you come over?
36:48
We're having the, we're having a hotdog thing where we make hotdogs from all around the nation." Al, the pizza guy? Pizza guy. Yeah. Yeah, Al.
36:55
So, um, I, I went out, went up there, and I met George, and this guy comes in. He's such a good-looking guy, and he has, like, a sweater vest, and he's dressed so well, impeccably manicured.
37:05
And I'm, I'm like, wow, this guy looks great. He goes, "Looks great." He's 75, he looked great, and he did 32 years in jail. I was like, wow. And 30 for selling marijuana.
37:15
I mean, but, but his father, he wasn't, he's not a mobster or anything, you know? His dad was, but he wasn't. And, uh, yeah, so anyway, that's one of my shows. Well, and, and last week's show was great, too.
37:24
We just talk about spontaneous things that went, went on. So you guys can just go to YouTube for that or wherever you get your Spotify, wherever you get your podcasts, and, uh, I appreciate you watching that.
37:34
The one with George is an hour and a half, but it's unbelievable his stories of what went on. Um, he was in-- He, he actually was, his workout buddy was a guy who cut three heads off. So he's like- Oh, sure. Sure.
37:45
No, no, I mean- Sure, sure... it, it's unbelievable, like, this guy just- Who doesn't work out with someone like that?
37:50
No, it, it just, like, like he, he was, this guy was in for life, so, you know, they had to actually weld him to the cell eventually. They welded him to the... It's, it's great stories he has. What the? Yeah.
38:00
We get tweets- Ovo cup? I know. Somebody welded him to the cell. Weld? Yeah.
38:04
There's also, I, I haven't heard, I don't know if you guys have heard a single good thing about it, but there is, what, Sofia Vergara, right, has the Griselda show on Netflix. Yeah, that's Griselda.
38:11
I didn't- I haven't watched it... I didn't watch it. I haven't watched it at all. Yeah. I also haven't heard a single thing about it was- I haven't either... good. Well, only 'cause I heard, I heard it wasn't accurate.
38:18
Her son, the real, Griselda's real son is a guy named Michael Corleone. They took the name of The Godfather.
38:24
Michael Corleone Blanco, he did a couple interviews on, and I watched them, and he said that a lot, most of it was just, you know, fiction, so. Let me read some tweets from the listeners.
38:32
Larry Fresh, "Uh, when is Kelly opening up Gator Burger spot? Vegas. Bring Florida to Vegas." Uh, Mark Goldberg, "Of course Unscripted is the number one show here in South Florida." Oh, cool.
38:42
Uh, Hoops by Hoot, "Since Florida follows Kelly, sounds like an investment opportunity is in the making. Wawa franchising in Vegas perhaps?" [laughs] That would, that would be nice. We need that. That would be nice.
38:52
J-Rod letting us know some, uh, French Open props are coming out, too. Uh, we'll talk about this on the podcast. Iga versus Sabs in the final, plus 440.
39:01
Iga versus Sabalenka in the finals, plus 440 available, uh, at shops. Montreal Max, "Imagine these hot Phillies," talking about your Guardians bet here now.
39:10
"Imagine these hot Phillies having that Dodgers faux pandemic season World Series title," pardon me, "where they would, uh, be just 10 games away now from starting the postseason and playing the League Championship Series and World Series in the same stadium, and never leaving the hotel.
39:25
And great having Bill back, by the way, as well." That is true, by the way. We don't, we don't make enough of that.
39:29
Like, that pandemic season, the 60-game baseball season where the Dodgers won the World Series and they played in pods, remember? And it was just- Yeah. Yeah... you're right. We, the season would be...
39:39
That is so true to think about it right now. The Phillies would be the best team, and, like, the Dodgers, Yankees, and Guardians would be the next three best teams heading into the postseason.
39:48
Uh, Henry's Boy two, "Guys, I, I used to fly weekly from LaGuardia to DFW and back to catch an earlier flight. I always ended up in a smoking middle of five seats." Oh, God. The good old days. Oh, God. Wow.
39:59
Oh, yeah, yeah, the middle row, too, right? Or the middle, you know, you had, like, the- Brutal... middle column. [laughs] Middle column. You know when you have, like, the three sets, right? Yeah.
40:09
You'd have, like, the, the middle three or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. That was always a thing. Bill, you got more on your list there. What do you got? I did.
40:14
Well, I wanna tell you guys, too, there's a new feature on Twitter, um, or X, whatever you wanna call it.
40:19
So, um, like it s- just seems like everything, like if I, if you start the thread, if you start the, a tweet, it's your, it's your tweet and there's replies in there.
40:29
Like, I get all these guaranteed fixed games and Rosie. They find me every time. There's a porn person. I don't get, I don't get any of those. Rosie. Ro- uh, the, they're up to Rosie 1,000,340 now.
40:40
I mean- Kelly and I have four- You guys don't get that? Well, Kelly and I- Yes, we do. Oh, you do. Yeah, I don't get the fixed games. I don't get any of that. I get fixed games every- You don't get those?
40:47
I don't get any fixed games. Every single time- Yeah, yeah... I get them, the fixed games. I get, Kelly and I get 400 people named Elizabeth who love us, though. Yeah, we get that. Right. He, but you don't click...
40:54
I, I remember just now. He doesn't click on the things that's the added thing on the bottom. He doesn't click on that, the real- No. They're behind that little wall. I don't click on it. He doesn't click on it.
41:01
So there's a new feature, though. I love it. The feature is you could hide the reply and block them. So that's what I saw. Literally, you could hide it and block them.
41:11
It, and when you hit hide, it'll say, "Do you wanna block them also?" [laughs] Now, and so- Yeah... so now all I'm saying is- Yeah...
41:17
I don't want a kid to come on there and, and, and get sucked in by someone showing a fake fixed game. You know they're all, they're all scams. Yeah.
41:24
So I, I think it's great that you can hide the reply and, and block the fixed games. He's dumb, he's done. He can't follow you no more. But they come up with new ones every day. Okay. I just think it's a good little tip.
41:34
Ah, that's great. Yeah. I, I should be taking the time to do that, and I don't actually. I know. I know. Useful information. I got too much time on my hands probably this time of the year.
41:41
Um, listen also, buddy of mine came in, I, I didn't even know what was going on at the airport here in Vegas. So now if you catch a cab, which I know a lot of people use Uber or something, there's, it's a fixed rate.
41:51
Did you know that? No. It's a fixed rate now, where n- in the past, they would try to go around the, the little loop- Right... and make some extra bucks.
41:57
Oh, like the guy who tried to charge me 30 bucks to go to Venetian that one time? Well- Yeah... well, I believe it's s- I believe they have it planned out like that, right, Bill?
42:04
Yeah, it's 24- It's depending on where you go on the Strip. Yeah, like it's 20, it's, it's 20, 24, 30. I think that's what it is, 30. So sure enough, 30, that's the number. Gil just hit it. Yeah.
42:12
He's, he was going from, a- and he's going to the Wynn, from there to the Wynn. 30 bucks, dude. 30, 30 bucks. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? How about this?
42:19
It's still better to do the cab, though, than Ubers, right? Is it? 'Cause Ubers can't get close, I thought. I would think Uber's less.
42:25
No, Uber's less I would think Uber's less, yeah Yeah, but can they get close to the airport? Close to the air- no, you have to know where to go. Yeah. That's true. Oh, but it, but, but, but- Yeah...
42:33
even the cabs are right outside, but the Uber stays right across the way. It's not that, it's not that bad. It's over at the garage. It's over. It depends what- It's over at the garage... it depends what terminal.
42:40
Depends what terminal. I mean, this is- Trust me, I know...
42:41
the little Vegas thing where the cabs try to block out the Ubers The worst thing with the cabs back in the day was I used to basically, as we all know, live at the Hard Rock. Right.
42:49
About 10:30, uh, in the summertime, 10, 11 years ago, 12 years ago. Oh, they would hate that ride. They, if they- They hated it... waited in that cab- They waited... that cab line, and then they- Ugh...
42:57
got to me, and they're like, "Where are you going?" And I, and I said, "Hard Rock." Ugh. I cannot tell you how many times they audibly shrieked or, like, screamed at me. Like, "Oh, come on." Oh my God.
43:09
After they, they were so angry. I was like, "Sorry, dude." That, that's funny. That, that's what the base of this thing I'm gonna tell you is. Yeah, yeah.
43:15
The guy audibly shriek- screamed at the guy in the back seat, my buddy, come in, he says, "You know, it's $30 flat. Yes, it is." 'Cause he asked. He goes, "It's $30 to go to the Wynn."
43:25
"Yes, it is, but you know, we, we, we work on tips. This $30 is not enough." Oh, God. Yeah. The cab driver told my... I, first of all, I'm pretty rough. I, I, I'd rather use Uber. I'm not a cab guy.
43:35
But I remember these drivers are just, like you said, this guy was a $30 rate to go from the airport to the Wynn, and he's telling him ahead of time. He's ki- conditioning him. Yeah. That's not even conditioning.
43:45
He's blatantly telling him, "It's $30, you know, but we work on tips." Like, come on. Like, that, that's a great experience. Just come to Vegas for the first time, and the cab driver's shaking you down.
43:55
I mean- That's, that's good actual for people who are coming in, though. I didn't know it was fixed rates now. Fixed rate in cabs. I was grabbing a, uh, a cab. I, I, Uber to the airport, cab from the airport. Really?
44:05
I think the, I think the Uber- Look at you. I like the Uber, like... Interesting strategy. Well, guys, thanks for having me on. Thank you, Bill. Appreciate it as always. @BillKraken, uh, @BillKrakenman with a K.
44:14
Wisecracks, Bill Krackenberger and John Orlando. A good episode out there right now, as he just talked about. I'm gonna go do a, uh, podcast, French Open now with Drew.
44:22
If you're on the radio side, Gojo and Golic are next. Enjoy that. Best bets on the TV side, it's a numbers game at VSiN, the sports betting network. Enjoy. [upbeat music]
