Remember we came in here, I was like, "How can you not love tennis," right? Got to the semifinals, Alcaraz was up two sets on Zverev, then he got cramps.

And Zverev came back and won the next two sets, and then Zverev was up five to three, was on his racket in the fifth set, and Carlitos somehow came back and beat him. Meanwhile, in the other semi, Sinner

was two of 18 on break points. He loses somehow to Djokovic in the semis, and Alcaraz wins the Australian Open. Then they go to Doha, Qatar, and Sinner loses early to Jakub Mensik, Alcaraz wins that.

So after those first two tournaments, you're like, "Carlos Alcaraz, it's his world, we're all living in it."

And then, my friends, they went to Indian Wells, and Carlitos was more interested in playing golf it seemed like those- Yep... week and a half in, in Indian Wells than he was anything else. Totally heard.

And so Carlitos got to the semifinals, and Daniil Medvedev played the match of his life and c- and really, I mean, it wasn't like Carlos played bad, but Daniil Medvedev was better, beat him.

Sinner goes on to win Indian Wells, okay? Then they go to Miami. They go to Miami, and Carlitos loses early to Sebastian Korda. Sinner wins that one. Mm-hmm.

And now all of a sudden it's like, oh my God, the, the worm has turned on this. Then they go to Monte Carlo, it's clay. They go to Monte Carlo, and finally they play each other for the first time this year in the finals.

And in the first set- On clay... on clay, 6-4 Sinner. 6-4 Sinner on his racket to win the first set tiebreaker. Sinner has a wide open volley with a wide open court. He hits it into the net, and you're like, "Oh my God,

he can't get over the hump. We thought it's Sinner's, but he's gonna lose this." And then Carlitos, 5-6 first set, double faults. Bum, bum, bum.

Sinner wins in straight sets, and that moment where Carlitos double faulted maybe is the fulcrum of this entire thing because, yes, Sinner had already won the n- the last two tournaments

after Carlitos had won the first two. Sinner goes on to win Monte Carlo. Then Carlos pulls out with all the wrist injuries. Carlos not even playing now. Sinner just wins Madrid. So there it is. That's it.

That's your ATP ser- that six tournaments. It's all you need to know about on the men's side. Carlitos won the first two, including the Australian Open, and since then it's been a Sinner run.

Sinner becomes the first men's player in history to win five straight 1000s. Now, what does that mean? Those are the tournaments right below Slams. So he won the Paris Masters, which is indoor hards last year.
