I was saying, this, we are unlikely to have another week in the NFL this year or any year really, where we have two games that have moved this dramatically in the three or four days of the week preceding.

One kid was telling me about Caesars when they got hacked. He goes, "You talked about they found the kid who hacked Caesars." We, we touched on the, on this show last week, and he told me about this.

And I did hear about this briefly, but I didn't wanna talk about something like this, but now you could, it's a year, a year later or two years, whatever it may be.

He said there was a flaw in Atlantic City, and I knew about the flaw. He said they- Oh, I remember this... they gave everyone free play on their card. The person that...

We don't know if it's the person that hacked, if it was just some kind of system malfunction.

He said every single Caesars property in Atlantic City, which they have, I believe, someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I think they had three, um, at the time, but they gave him $3,000 and he went to each property for $1,000 in free play.

It, it, it could be the hacker that put it on everyone's card, you know? Like whoever, whatever it was, and, you know, they, they... Caesars never talked about it.

But, uh- Is this the one where everybody's- This is the second person now that told me this and-... everybody's account went to zero? Was this the incident? No. No, no. That was a different incident.

Second person that's told me this now. Second person actually did it. Now, the first person told me, he, for some reason, he said, "Listen, I had $850 on my card I didn't have before.

What's the proper behavior for the bettor at that point, in your opinion? Yeah. Like all of a sudden money's in your account.

Listen, I've always say this, I go to a cage cashier, and, uh, if you're overpaid, I always give them their money back 'cause they're accountable for that.

Even at the, at the sportsbook or anything, they are responsible for that draw, so of course you would do the right thing there.

Um, slot attendant pays you too much, you give them, you make sure you, they, they, whatever it may be. 'Cause a lot of times I don't come out, I don't get my money counted. I say, "Just hand it to me."

Um, I was shorted actually $100. I was shorted $100, um, out of a $5,000 pack once. Actually went back to the cage and they actually gave me the money, so, you know, you, you... However,

I love people when they, when they come after us and they say, well, not you maybe, but me, and say, "What do you mean you were paid on a 17 on a blackjack and the dealer had a, you know, a five-card, uh, 20 or so, or you had a five-card whatever, 18, and the dealer pulled a 19, and everyone at the table had 20 except for you, and you got paid and you took the money?"

Listen to me. Mm. Find someone that's not gonna take the money off a table. You know, you play the Nicky the Dunce and just say, you know, "I didn't realize." You thought you won, whatever it may be. But- Listen to this.

I want, I wanna- Oh, go ahead... 'cause I just got this before the show. Go ahead. This is literally right before the show I got this, 'cause it's, it's similar in terms of what's the proper behavior for, for a gambler.

So here's the situation. I w- no names here. Let's say somebody comes across, this actually happened, let's say somebody comes across an abandoned machine waiting for a bonus to be paid, uh, or to be played.

Walking around and find a slot machine with free games pending after somebody triggered the bonus and walked away. Zero credits left on the machine, so it must have been a last spin on the exact right bet amount, $7.50.

Nobody around the machine, near the machine, nothing. Waited a couple more minutes, flagged down a slot person, expressed concerns about not knowing what to do in this situation, what's allowed and what isn't.

I don't wanna get in any trouble. Uh, offer to walk away if it's a gray area. She gives the permission, uh, let me get this right again. She gives the permission to play it and says, "Push the button."

Person asks her to stand there and stay until the bonus is finished just to be safe. The bonus pays out, not enough for a, for a hand pay, and the person says, "Now what?"

And slot person gives the go-ahead to cash out the ticket. Question, was that handled properly both ways? What's the rule in your opinion? So there was no money on the account.

There was no money on the machine, but it was in a bonus mode. Mm-hmm. Is that what you're saying?

That's, I- There was no, there was, there was no, there was no monetary dollar, uh, that the person, the previous person left in the machine, then I have no problem playing that at all and, and, and tipping the slot person.

The p- but the slot person probably wasn't, um- Probably doesn't have that authority... that authority. Yeah. Didn't have that authority to say that. Yeah.

When you go in, like, a high-level room, they see you a, a couple weeks in a row or whatever, they're, they're, some of them are very nice, but, like, I know one in particular, I'll just say it, it's Foxwoods.

Uh, the, the guy came in every week and said, "This machine's good." I got the cleaning staff telling me which machine, machines are good. [laughs] You know, it's, it's a con.

So, um, it, but, but, you know, 'cause I'm a, I'm a little bit of a sucker, too. I'll give the guy 10 bucks to leave me alone. Mm-hmm. You know? [laughs] Um, so, so, so they, they know a mark when they see it. Get lost.

Yeah. Here's your 10 bucks. [laughs] So, you know, it just, it, and that is, granted, the, some of them are very, very nice. I knew the cleaning staff when I was playing weekly at the Wynn.

Such nice people, never done anything wrong, great people. I love taking care of them, actually. Mm-hmm. Um, but this situation I probably would've played. So whoever, whoever sent you that- Yeah...

They hit a jackpot, they get a hand pay. They leave the machine after they get paid. They just think, oh, they won, and leave the credits in there. That's a giant no-no. I see it a lot, though.

So in other words, they, they, they left their money in there. You, you can't... You know, I, I'm, I'm hanging around with a lot of people that, that I, that come in town.

I, you know, talk to them a little bit, and they love getting those vouchers and stuff. And I'm- Yes...

trying to tell them, you can't, be careful with the vouchers, you know, because they can, technically can throw you out. Um, I seen an influencer, boy, I want to give him credit, I just forget.

I get, I seen an influencer recently, what he did with the vouchers. So if he's seen a credit, but he was not saying seen the credit.

If he has a, you know, he's playing and he has 35 cents left, instead of having to go all the way to the cage to get your 35 cents, he puts the voucher in the machine.

There's a last chance feature where you can get a free spin, you know, depending on the, the amount of the voucher and amount of the spin you play.

So, um, I'm not going on these air- certain airlines, but United is my other option. United first class, which is, you can find some great, great deals- Yeah... nighttime with sleeper seats for, like, 800 bucks each way.

But that's a lot of money, I understand, but, you know, but h- the amount of people that came after me and said- It's amazing... "You w- no way you're an advantage gambler. No way you have money."

then didn't come in and pick up their, the, the, the routes and, uh, you know, it's not easy as, as you'd think to fly nonstop. When, when Gracie was younger, I, I went to meet her.

She was coming from Toronto, I was coming from s- from here. We- went to meet her for a BlackPink, a K-pop concert in Chicago.

So I had to leave a numbers game Friday, and the only flight that worked for me to get to Chicago to meet her for the concert, uh, to pick her up at the airport and, and then get to the concert, was a Frontier flight, and [laughs] that was the gre- it was one of the great experiences ever because not [laughs] you know how you look up at screens and you're like, "Oh, when is my flight leaving?"

Right. There is no sign of [laughs] any Frontier flight- Oh my God... on any of the screens until you have to ask and you figure out where the, uh, where the terminal is- Oh my God...

only when like, like five minutes before when your flight was scheduled to leave did someone show up and be like, "Oh, yeah, we're, we're, we're, we're leaving in a couple minutes."

Bill, I hope Bill Adee doesn't mind me telling this story, but yesterday we were talking about Greg Peterson was on the show. Sure. Greg Peterson was talking about how he runs 12 miles- Yeah, every day, right?

Every day for the- Never misses, for like a decade... for the last, we, we're unclear if it was the last 9 years or the last 14 years. Wow. Either way- Yeah... it's an amazing streak. And Bill Adee texted me.

I didn't have my phone during the show, but he, Bill Adee, uh, founder of Veasyn, texted me. He said he ran, I wanna get this right, f- he ran every single day for, was it seven straight years, he said?

Now, it wasn't 12 miles a day- Yeah... he was saying, right? Then he gotta get his knees replaced. Uh, but he was saying he ran f- he ran between the ages of 18 to 30, just like Forrest Gump.

He just ran, he ran every day. Wow. "And I kept running, and I kept running." [laughs] Running. Yeah. And so I just, and then I was like, "What stopped the streak?"

And for him he was like, "Oh, I got a job at, you know, the Chicago Sun-Times." [laughs] Right. So life got in the way- Life got in the way... of this, of this thing. Yeah.

But anyway, it's all, it l- And I, I don't mean to say that I'm, I, I, I'm, I'm ha- I'm not depressed or anything. Yeah. I'm happy. I'm, I'm just saying back then it was just, you know, I had a few bucks all the time.

I was always working. Mm-hmm. So- I liked having cash money. I was a cash money guy at that age. I liked, I enjoyed my life, uh, a lot.

And I, I, you know, I was the one that was, you know, we'd go, we go to eat and my friends have no money. "Okay, can I just probably, I get, you know, go get a burger. Fine. Get what you want."

Like, I enjoyed that, but 'cause my father taught me that. My father never really had any money, but he, he was treating everybody, you know? Yeah. We, we are our parents' child, so. Yes.

Um, but as we get older, I just seen, uh, Scott Baio on a podcast, that he's 65, and he said- Wow... he talked about being 65 and h- what happened. He said- What happened... it was so good.

It's only a 12-minute clip if you guys can find it. He was a s- Someone sent it to me... he was a teen heartthrob. Yeah. Teen heartthrob. Yeah.

And he has a 18-year-old daugh- 17-year-old daughter now, and he just can't believe he's 65. He just can't believe it. He's like, "I just don't know what happened," you know?

And the- Well, if, if you have a child or if you are, you know, the, the, you know, a guardian, you understand, like, our youth, right, when you're in youth it takes forever. Yeah.

But when you raise a child, it's a blink. Yes. You g- they go from 6 to 18- Right... in the blink of an eye, so it's just incredible 'cause we live longer, so it's, it's a less of a fraction- Yeah...

of our lives as currently- Yeah... constitute. So it's just, it's- And we think we know it all. Yeah. As we get older, our parents become much smarter. Oh, I say it every day. Oh, really?

My dad is- Our parents become much-... smarter and smarter every day... much smarter- Yeah... every day. Yeah. I just wish they were here to know. And I told them that, but, um, it, it really is.

It, it, it really is true. As we get older, uh, it, it, it, it just makes me think how smart my father was. Yeah. My father, I don't talk about him enough. My mother I talk about.

My father, though, he was such a smart, such a very, very, uh, uh, intelligent man. And, um, you know, he, he just knew so many things about life that I didn't know, but I thought I did, so, like your dad probably.

Was, was he a Yankees, uh, fan? Big Yankees fan. You a Yankees fan? My, my father and grandpa. No, I couldn't care. You, so you don't care who wins this game today? No. I wanna watch it I guess, but I, I, I don't care.
